"I've been using Fotki for about a year and a half now. I went between many photo carriers during the age of free sharing, when the sites all shut down or started charging to use their service. I was last on zing.com, and they were shutting down. I had hundreds of photos and no place to put them. But something almost miraculous happened. I heard about Fotki, a then unknown photo sharing site that was looking for zing victims to help. They downloaded all my photos from zing and put them in a fotki account! That level of convenience was unparalleled by any photo sharing site I had yet to see! Free sharing used to be the thing here, but of course, you can only maintain free service when people are all emigrating to your service. Even when fotki.com started charging a small annual fee, I stayed on because their service had been flawless. When my original account expired in November 2002, I renewed for 2 more years. Where else could I go and get such a great deal (unlimited space, external links, and an easy interface)? Thanks fotki! "
